I was born in Constanta, Romania – a beautiful city located at the seaside of the Black Sea. Because the political problems in Romania during the communist government of Ceausescu, I defected in Norway in 1987. I was a second chief engineer on board of an ore ship at that time.

 During the Naval High School "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" and Marine Academy "Stefan cel Mare" I was a very good swimmer and for 6 years I took the first place in Romanian Navy. Later I started with judo and karate - Shoto-Kan.

At all times I was interested in literature and art. Since I was a kid I sculptured in wood. At the age of 19 I participated to my first wood sculpture exhibition at the Naval Academy. Many years later I had a few exhibitions in Narvik, Norway at the city hall.

I love music, travelling and I am very friendly. I have respect for all human been and I love the beauty of nature. Because all disturbances in the world and complicity of the power balance, I try to stay away from politic. I love psychology and I hate fanatics. I was born Christian orthodox but I am not special religious. I don’t need to go to church to learn the difference between good and evil but I am open minded.

I am interested in new technology and specially astrophysics and Universe. I read very much and I am updated in most science. Since 1990 I am a member of The Planetary Society from Pasadena, USA and I participated to SETI, NEAR and Mars Observer projects.

I am a very loyal friend and I never let somebody down. I don’t believe in vengeance and I dislike hatred.
