KARATE & KICKBOXING

In 1980 I started to practice Judo in Navy Academy of Romania. After two years I joined the Shoto Kan karate club witch I loved it very much. After 7 years of hard training I got the brown belt. In 1997 I left the comunist regim of Ceausescu and I defected to Norway, Narvik. Here I started my own karate club.
After two years of hard training I went to Oslo to get the black belt. I was very dissapointed of the "master" which was the "greatest" in Norway at that time. He was not seroius and I return to Narvik. Here I started with Go Ju Kai karate. After 7 years I got again the brown belt in this fantastic style. In 1990 I got the opportunity to instruct in Kickboxing wicht I learned in parallell with karate from 2. Dan Mr. Ben Offerbeeck. In 1996 I moved to Chicago, USA where I continued with Shoto Kan and Kickboxing. Here I got the black belt in Kickboxing. In 1997 I return to Norway, Narvik where I started my own Kickboxing club to Narvik University College. In 2000 I moved in south of Norway and in 2001 I started another kickboxing club here in Halden - home.halden.net/kickboxing and I instruct since then. In 2002 I started another fullcontact kickboxing club - Fighting Studion - home.halden.net/fighting-studio.

Unfortunately, because the very long distance between north of Norway and competitions in Europe I didn’t get the chance to participate many times. But still I got some good places: one gold medal and two silver medals in All Karate Scandinavian Championship and a second place in European Karate Championship in Hungary. But I never been defeated in any Norwegian competition yet.
